Instructions for installing the new ChimpanZoo software onto your computer:
- Go to http://www.chimpanzoo.org/dbs/ Click on "ChimpanZoo Observation Application page" Download Adobe Air Download ChimpanZoo Dc (aka the ChimpanZoo Observer Application)
- Choose "Open" and install the program onto your computer.
It will create an icon on your computer that looks like this: 
Instructions for logging in the first time:
- Open the ChimpanZoo Dc program on your computer by clicking on

- It will automatically list you as "New User". Click on "Local Log In"
- Highlight Lion Country Safari and your island on the facility list.
(You may need to press the "Reload Facility List" button first in order to see the list of facilities)
- You are not allowed to use a username or password until after you pass the certification class and pay dues. This is to protect the ChimpanZoo database from faulty data. Until you have been certified, please press the "Create Demo User" button in order to create a practice account for collecting data.
Now that you have downloaded a practice account onto your computer, the next time that you open the software, it will recognize you as "Observer" on the "Local Log In" screen.
To practice coding chimps,
click on "Observe", then "Get Random Chimp", and then fill out the background information. They are still in the process of adding the LCS chimp names to the database. So, for now, no chimp names will be listed, and you'll get "Label" as the name of your random chimp.
The timer will start as soon as you press "Start"!
