ENRICHMENT
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16
1 – 3 P.M.
HOPE
YOU WILL BE THERE |
Our October
Enrichment Workshop was a great success. We had Girl Scout Troop 957 with us.
They made 25 wonderful paper mache pumpkins for the chimps which they brought
with them to fill and close the top. They used green tape to cover the hole and
brought the ends up to make a stem. They really looked wonderful and we are so
grateful to them for doing such a good deed for the chimps.
For the
November enrichment we are planning our
sleepover party for the chimps. We will
be stuffing pillows with hay, filling a goodie bag with a sandwich, popcorn,
drink etc. We need to have old sheets, pillowcases, blankets if you have any
old ratty ones, please donate them to the chimps. For the chimps in the house
we plan to have a DVD or tape for them to watch. Any ideas for other things to
do on an overnight would be gratefully accepted.
The weather is beautiful out at Lion Country these days so please step up your observing so we
will all be ready for the new software which Bev will be getting tutored on very soon. The
conference will be over on Nov. 4th so Erica and Virginia will be
back in
Arizona
shortly, at which time they will be teaching Bev to teach us.

Holiday
Gathering
The
date for the party has been decided for Saturday December 6th at 7
p.m. at Phyllis and Bill Malcom’s home in Homeland. Directions will be sent
later.
Since
the date comes just one week past Thanksgiving, we are trying very hard to get
things settled a bit earlier. If you have not replied to the invitation and
stated what you would like to bring for dinner, please do try to return my
invitation email as soon as possible. At
this point we have sufficient desserts, so try to offer an appetizer, salad,
covered dish or bread, rolls, or soft drinks.
