......Thank you Eloise for hosting tonight's meeting and class. There was a good turnout and it was wonderful seeing everyone after the summer. Welcome to our new members Kim Morgan and Ginalu Phillips. Terry Wolfe, Wildlife Director @ LCS was present and gave us an update on the chimps.

......He requested that we monitor Inky and report our findings on the message board. They recently discovered she has bone cancer. So if you observe any unusual behavior make a note of it in your observations.

......Terry also mentioned that eventually they will be consolidating the groups to three rather than the current four. Ian, Sabrina, and Melody will eventually be combined into another group, in order to give them more opportunities to socialize.

......We were also asked to monitor little Noel's behavior as rumor has it she's been hitting other chimps. This is mostly FYI because she's really too small to do any damage. (Hmmm I wonder if she learned that in kindergarten.)

......Please make a note that at the December 16th enrichment we'll be wrapping Christmas presents for the chimps, so start saving your goodies. Santa's visit to the chimps will be announced at a later time.

......Eloise had requested some assistance with Chimpanzoo "housekeeping" chores. Eloise will continue as Volunteer Coordinator, AKA Alpha Female; Barbara Duncan has agreed to be the secretary and Bev Scott will continue as webmaster and will now be co-treasurer with Eloise.

......The remaining 5 Chimpanzoo classes will be held at Eloise's home on the next 5 Wednesday's from 7-9pm, so we'll be ready when the new computer program comes out in October. We were all a little rusty tonight but I feel we'll be up to speed by the time the classes are over.
