......Our newest observer, Lisa, is a professional photographer who has offered to volunteer her time and get some of those photos we have all been waiting for. Yesterday was our first day out and we concentrated on Higgy's island. Pending the development of the film, it looks like we got some really exciting pictures to post. Lisa will be volunteering one day a month to do this. It is my intention to get new pics of all the behaviours and of each chimp so that identifying them will be easier.

......Yesterday was also Enrichment. Eloise wasn't able to be there, so I ran it for the first time. I must thank everyone who showed, because without them we would not have produced so much in such a short time. The chimps will have plenty of fun stuff to eat and play with.

......Just so everyone is aware, there are going to be some major changes coming up, but as with everything, Terry must be made aware of our decisions and the restructuring of the Chimpanzoo program. It is imperative for those of us who have invested time and energy to this cause to make some tough choices, but the big picture is keeping the program running. Whatever changes come about, this is our goal. I hope everyone who truly cares will be with us for the long haul.... I'll keep you posted....

......The picture above is baby Olive... too cute!!!
