THE CHIMPS…… and us

......By now I hope that all the chimps have recovered from their coughs - it sounded like a TB ward out there for a while.

......The “Chicago Seven” all passed their health checks so they are good to go. We wouldn’t want to send germs up to Chicago. Of course, the germs would freeze to death first. Brrrr.

......Let’s get busy, guys and girls, and get some observations on the web site. Only two people have entered their notes and they are such fun to read. Just to repeat the steps - go to the Message Board, click on the message with the rules and just follow them. Bill Platti did his observations before we decided that we needed a time attached to each paragraph or notation. You can see that done on Lanni Brancatos entry. Also, they are being put there for all of you to read so click on each one, read it, and go on to the next, unless you want to make a comment, then, go on. I am sure the observers would like to hear your comments.

......If you need help with your observations, you can always call Eloise for help over the phone or make a date to meet at the preserve.

......I am sure there will be a lot of discussion about this at our Members meeting on March 3 at Sharon Powrozek’s home from 7 - 9 p.m. Please make an effort to come. We have had very interesting discussions.

…..and STUFF

......Happy Valentines Day! We had a wonderful turnout for last month’s enrichment. So, despite the rain, we carried on. We could not do our planned activity, but we must have made a couple hundred bottles of Jello. Guess we won’t have to do that soon again. Were we ever wet!!!

......This month, Sunday, February 15th we will try to complete our piñatas that Betty and Mia designed. We have decided to fill them first and then paint them. So bring your creative juices with you. Hopefully we will also be working on a project that Michelle has dreamed up to put on the siamang’s island.

......I would like to have someone come up with a new project for March. So get on the internet and find an idea. Bring the idea in next Sunday so we can all talk about it to make sure it is doable. Remember to look around for items on the enrichment list and bring them with you on Sunday.

......My scanner is misbehaving so I have not been able to get the Christmas pictures in my computer. Hopefully I will have it fixed by next month and get some Santa shots in the newsletter. Check the calendar at the end of the month to get the directions to Sharon’s house for the March meeting. You just click on the March 3 date and that brings you to a page of information about the items on the calendar.
